As members of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Governmental Audit Quality Center (GAQC) and Not-For-Profit Center, we gain access to comprehensive resources that assist us in further enhancing the quality of our not-for-profit audits. The resources provide us timely information on a variety of technical, legislative and regulatory subjects that we can, in turn, apply to our audits to ensure compliance with the appropriate standards and changes in regulations. In addition, our memberships provide us the opportunity to network and exchange information with others in the not-for-profit auditing community via Online Member Discussion Forums, conferences and teleconferences. This enables us to learn and enhance best practices on our not-for-profit audit engagements.
As a member of the Centers, we commit to adhere to the highest quality standards by voluntarily agreeing to the Centers’ membership requirements. These include designating a shareholder responsible for the quality of our not-for-profit audit practice, establishing quality control programs, performing annual internal inspection procedures, and making our peer review report findings publicly available.
